Starbucks - Kailua

Was in town visiting and happen to go to this Starbucks. We did not get greeted and stood in line for approximately 10-15 mins while they all assisted another customer. Not one of the employees acknowledged us. Also, the fire alarm went off and it took them almost 20 mins to shut it off. It was loud and annoying! My tea was fine when I finally received it.

The service is a little slow due to the lack of help but the baristas are very friendly and take special care to make sure that the order is accurate.

This location needs an audit or new management. I?ve had unpleasant experiences here for years. I always think it?s going to get better. I always want to give people grace and the benefit of the doubt, but the grumpy vibe here brings me down big time. I go to the Aikahi location now, but I popped in here the other day and nothing had changed. I don?t expect anyone to care about my very first world problem but I hope the owner gives some attention to the staff issues. The service is SO SLOW whether it?s packed or empty. The quality of the coffee is extremely inconsistent. I?ve choked on way-too-strong cold brew and I?ve been given cold brew cups that are under filled by an inch or two. Baristas are filled with silent rage if you ask for a tweak. There are baristas who regularly behave unprofessionally, seem bothered to deal with customers?.at the register?.are combative with fellow workers and aren?t efficient or helpful. Through the years, there have been beyond lovely baristas who are kind, great at what they do, and quietly put up with difficult co-workers, and I hope they know who they are I know this review is very Karen, but this place needs some HELP! I know customers can be awful, difficult, demanding, and that?s draining as hell. BUT if you?re choosing this public facing job, you?ve gotta be professional.

Some days they kill it and others they?re completely off. I get the same drink every time and today just wasn?t their day. Good service but the coffee wasn?t good.

This is one of the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I've randomly visited this location multiple times, only to find it closed. Since this Starbucks is located on a military base, I don't understand why it has such limited hours, opening only from 7:30 AM to 1 PM. It makes no sense at all. I will never visit this location again; I’d rather go off base. It's a waste of time because you never know when it will be open or closed. Honestly, this location doesn't even deserve one star.
