Shut Em Down Authentic Southern

I wanted real Southern fried chicken during a vacation to Jax. This did not disappoint, hot, crisp, tender. Sides were good too. I broke my diet to eat this, but it was worth every bite.

Shut em down shut me down. The rice, ox tails, smothered pork chops, cornbread, greens, lima beans, Mac n cheese and did I say cornbread. Oh yeah. The taste of a true black family reunion. Loved everything.

Ordered the oxtail dinner plate which comes with 3 sides. I chose the collared greens, black eyed peas and mashed potatoes. The oxtails were flavorful and tender, delicious. ?

The Curry chicken was outstanding, spoke with manager, he was kind and accommodating, the staff was courteous as well. The atmosphere could use an update, but it's worth the drive!

Fantastic down home soul food. I had chicken, greens baked beans. The baked beans are the best, sweet absolutely delicious. Very nice to see the young staff are so attentive to their customers. Great little jewel in this area.
