Gill's By The Bay - Humboldt County

I had the crab omlet it was not freah crab. Should have known crab out of season (I forgot) but they should take it off the menu when not fresh.. Agreed i am spoiled by fresh crab. Frozen or days old crab just won't do.But service and Ambiance top notch..Also be forwarned dog not allowed on patio.Going to take family there tomorrow for second try ..not crab omlete.

This is just the type of restaurant i expect to find along the ocean. You drive thru a number of beach homes before you get to the point and there you find Gill's! The hot crab sandwich was delicious the best I've ever had), and very generous in size. I had planned to drive back for breakfast, but was still to full from lunch the previous day!

Just an amazing place. Crab sandwich is the bomb, and so is the family that runs it.

Very good food. Lots of gluten-free options. The French toast was great. The fish tacos are very tasty.

Overall a nice pleasant place to get a bite. The people are nice, the setting is quant, and it's feet away from Humboldt Bay. Come now cause in 50 years it might be underwater!
