To avoid misunderstandings: We were just in Homburg and didn't look for hours for a parking lot. Because what really distinguishes the city center are abundantly available and central parking spaces. This mostly free of charge, usually limited to 2 hours. Our stomach crawled again outside the usual eating times. We couldn't remember our breakfast. So we chose the first restaurant in the city centre with a full kitchen. Italian always goes. In October we were here in the evening just to drink. The nicely designed restaurant with friendly staff remained in a positive memory. And the kitchen is open throughout. A lunch table is also offered. We were too late after 3:00. 2 daily dishes for choice with soup for € 8.50. Can't be mocked. We were very kindly greeted by a gentleman at the counter and were allowed to choose a place in the spacious restaurant. The restaurant, consisting of 2 large guest rooms, is pleasantly divided. We chose a table at the window in the back room, which is a few steps higher than the main room with counter and open kitchen. View of the open kitchen How to describe the furnishings? I like it, it is for comfort, modern and also cozy. I'll let pictures speak. In summer you can sit very well on the terrace. Large olive trees provide Mediterranean flair. In October, they were still without protection, now they were protected with plexiglass hoods with precise glass. We took place, had a nice view of the marketplace and the large church. On each table there were plenty of salt and pepper mills and olive oil for guests. A young employee was right on the spot, the menu and the latest specialties on a clamping board. On the table the offer of the whole Loup de Mer in salt crust for 2 persons. Only on pre-order, tempting. We ordered our big bottle of mineral water as usual. After serving the stylish blue bottle “Aqua Morelli” I already knew that this water was from the 1st location. . When paying, we missed asking for a detailed cash deposit. There was only the payment document. When I put our dishes and the wine in deduction, the water probably hit with € 7.50. But it may be that extra garlic has also been charged. This and possibly that makes the price performance ratio decrease. But with this we are at the beginning with the only criticism. We needed vitamins and ordered a supplement salad as an appetizer € 4,00. This was completely convinced. And he was all but small. An impeccably fresh composition of leaf salads, salad cucumber, cocktail tomatoes, corn. Fresh paprika strips brought a beautiful wort next to the fine-grained dressing. Both of us lured to the main course: Pizza! And another Pinot Grigio, 0.25 l € 6,00. He was good. Since the same owner is still running the VIN!HO wine shop right next door, it should also supply the wine quality accordingly. That was right. The wine carafe was served in a small bucket filled with ice. Always nice when the drinks stay cool. Cooling secured! My husband chose the pizza Oh!lio: Rucola, Parmaschinken, Buffalo mozzarella, sharp salami € 12.50. Extra ordered: garlic. I chose a “white pizza”: Pizza Salmone: salmon, Crème fraîche, spring onions € 14,00. And of course also with garlic. Little later was served. And the pizzas could be seen! Steaming and fragrant and very large. There's a nice pizza knife. We faced the challenge after the already lush salad! Thankfully I sent a greeting to our GastroGuide Pizza experts AndiHa! He would have liked it here and tasted it. The pizza dough exactly according to our taste and on the outside nice pink and yet airy baked. Optimum browning. My husband's pizza could have been called "Trikolore". Certainly no coincidence that she remembered the Italian national flag. The Parmaschinken bare under the rocket. Richly spicy salami. Pizza Oh!lio My pizza with Crème fraîche instead of classic tomato base also absolutely met my taste. Well seasoned. The fresh salmon used was still nicely juicy. Pizza Salmone Even better the salmon would have fallen if the gray trandy had been removed before baking. Nevertheless, it was an absolutely good tasting pizza. I was quite tortured, but I even managed to. For she was simply not suitable for taking and warming through the salmon. This meal was lunch and dinner for me. The attentive employee asked for the serving of salad and pizza if everything tastes. My husband was able to pack about 1 3 of the pizza. She then found use for him as dinner. This portion again filled a normal dish. We haven't had such a great pizza for a long time. Comparable with Pizzeria Da Mario in Freisen. Only here in Homburg are service, ambience and wine significantly better. We'll be happy to come back. We like Homburg more and more. There are many possibilities with us! Addendum: A total of 4 x we visited the restaurant this year. 3 times for lunch. For Saturday, 17.10.20, I reserved for early dinner by phone for 18.00. My wish for a quiet table was confirmed with no problem. This Saturday, my husband and I met before our companions. A table in the middle of the wall, 3 guests had to sit next to each other, the table was too small. Distance to the occupied neighboring tables: 40 cm! I asked the service employee how it behaves with the minimum distance. Answer: Yes, but not 1.50 m! First, the statement that she doesn't have another table. When we then said to want to go, there was a table in the tent pavillion with hot mushrooms. We sat there and then ate five well and at a distance. I guess it was almost the only table at a distance. Later in the evening all tables occupied. No distance, guests sat close to other strange guests. Corona editions were not interested at all. Does this gastronome control the office of Homburg? The suspicion occurred. This company has earned the closure in November more than!

Great ambience, well visited. Service was attentive and very dedicated. We were four people, two times the Oh!lio Salat, one time Lasagne and one time Spaghetti Bolognese. The Bruschetta was ordered as an appetizer. All dishes were top, only the appetizer could have been a bit more spicy, but is a matter of taste. Clear recommendation, will definitely come back.

Unfortunately very disappointing. The food was tasteless and overpriced for these little portions. At the service power I had the feeling not to be welcome. It's where you got empathyless.
