Sal's Italian - Henderson

The atmosphere is delightful, with a great design and beautiful decor that you can admire while seated by the lake. As you approach the entrance, you are greeted by a lovely, well-furnished area that sets the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable experience inside. It’s also wheelchair accessible. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the restaurant is spotless, including the bathrooms, which accommodated my wheelchair comfortably. They even provide hand sanitizer at the entrance for those who want it. The food is authentic Italian and absolutely divine! The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable—definitely the best meal I’ve had with my family in two months. It’s so refreshing to be able to sit back and truly enjoy the entire experience without any discomfort and not have to spend a fortune. As of this review, they are hiring! If you’re looking for a job, I encourage you to stop by. I really hope this place doesn’t close due to a lack of staff. I highly recommend Sal’s if you’re in Henderson—don’t miss out on this amazing experience! Make sure to visit Sal while you're there!

Wonderful food with a wide variety of options. They serve delicious, hearty bread before the meals. The staff is very friendly. There's a gorgeous view of the lake to the east, and it looks like they are adding another room with an even better view.

I had my first visit and it was fantastic! I can assure you it won't be my last. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were wonderful! If you're a fan of Italian cuisine or just crave a delicious pizza, you should definitely check out Sals!

So far the best Italian food we had in East Texas! The pizza is great too! Best pizza we had between Cherokee and Rusk Counties. The crust was amazing! Could have been a little harder on the amount of blows, we got Pepperoni and pineapple and there was hardly any pineapple on some slices had no. The experience was immaculate. The food was ready when they said it was when I ordered. They were quick and friendly when I took up the food. I really like the pull-out containers, they are a type of foil pear pan and it kept the food nice and warm on the 20 minutes drive home. We will definitely be back!!

Sal 's will definitely be our go to restaurant for Italian cuisine. Robust flavors with just the right seasoning captures by the chef. My wife and I had the combo dinner. Making a decision on which entre was the best still has us debating. To top off our meals we had the cheesecake and amaretto cheesecake both were delicious. The restaurant was very clean and our waitress, Jay, was helpful and delightful. The entire experience was at a very reasonable price. If this review was helpful, please like it.
