Five D Cattle Company Steak House Meat Market

We have heard a lot about this place and were really excited to finally get there. We sat outside and sat at a high, sticky table. The beer we ordered was not available to be served outside, so we ordered a glass of wine. Not the worst thing that could happen. We ordered two of the cheaper steaks from the menu, a rare and a well made. Both were cooked equally, on the well-made side of the medium. We didn't send it back even though our server offered. She never came back to drive up our water or ask if we want more drinks. We mentioned the disappointing food, and we have a lame excuse. Very disappointing because we had heard such great things about this restaurant and really look forward to a great meal.

First, reservations are highly recommended for dinner. The entrance was 30-45 minutes. We sat at a very nice table until my wife felt a little cold on her back. We looked up and she was under an AC valve that dripping water. Not only that, it had fuzzy stuff growing on the vent. Not a good person! We asked for another table in view of the circumstances and they quickly moved to another table. Not under an air vent. Charlene greeted us with a warm smile and was quick to meet our needs. We ordered the ribs. They looked great, but they weren't hot. They replaced them with hot. The ribs were really good and looked like normal ribs. The most important ducks came and the whole hype about their steaks was in place! Made to order and we are perfect! Charlene was great all night. She gave us the complete history of the restaurant and family relations that made it a great place today. The evening went great until we used the toilet room. For such a wonderful place with all the people they have in this restaurant, they must have better toilets than what they have. Use of toilets in the restaurant alone made no sense. There was no air conditioning and no ventilation. What a bummer. If it were not for the toilets and the general cleanliness of the facility, they would have got five stars.

Great food, can't say enough about it. Large steaks, fresh bread and homemade tasting sites. Servers were all friendly, but had some difficulties with how busy they were this night. Normally great service.

Great place in a town that's a little out of the way but definitely worth the drive. Very good chicken fried steak but the WOW factor is the dessert. Haystacks. Delicious Funnel Cake sticks with tons of Powdered Sugar and Chocolate and Caramel dipping sauce. Your meal comes with a great choice of sides. This restaurant is definitely worth the drive from anywhere within a hundred miles. The staff is wonderful too. No wonder folks come from everywhere to eat here.

I have traveled all over the country and eaten at fine steakhouses in Vegas, Santa Fe, Chicago, and so on. This is right up there with the best of them. I would definitely order the t-bone again. My family also ordered shrimp, salmon, and ribs and those were great as well.The price is much better than other steakhouses around the country, but the steak is just as good. Highly recommend.
