Texan Diner - Haslet

Grabbed some lunch here after a hike at Eagle Mountain Lake. First time to visit here, definitely won?t be our last! Food and service was incredible! The restaurant was clean the waitress was very knowledgeable when we questioned menu items. He had theVera Cruz chicken with onion rings scratch mashed potatoes. I had the Meat loaf with Shiner gravy with homemade fries freshgreen beans. The chef visited our table as well as others to make sure everything was great! The presentation of the food theamount of food made us feel like we were visiting a resort. You could tell everything was made fresh!

Tried this place for a mid morning breakfast on a Saturday. They were fairly busy not not slammed. We were greeted and sat promptly. The place is large, open and was clean. The service was excellent from everyone. We all got the French toast andbacon. The slices of toast were huge. The eggs were fresh and the bacon was cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend stopping byhere.

Great place. We've now had breakfast and lunch here and both times the food was great, the portions Texas sized and the value exceptional. On this visit I had the lunch special Shrimp Etouffee. I chose string bean for a side and was pleased that theywere done with bacon and onions and tasted wonderful. The Etouffee was very good as well having a good hearty flavor withoutbeing too salty or fishy. My wife had the Sabine Pass Chicken Sandwich with a side of onion rings. The rings were exceptionaland the sandwich perfect. So if you're looking for healthy portions of delicious Southwest fare, check these guys out.

We heard about this place from a Foodie group that we follow and glad we were able to try it! Practically everything on the menu is made from scratch! There were so many options we wanted to try but even our second stomachs were saying NO! Pictured below isthe Chicken fried NY steak and eggs plate, breakfast Monte Christo w/ Chipotle raspberry jam that you don't want to skip, andfrom seasonal menu; Mango French toast.

The food portions are huge, the food is amazing, the wait staff are so sweet. Will definitely will go back. The pies were delicious we had lots of food to bring home afterwards.
