La Carreta - Hammond

Was here last night with family, we were driving to Texas from North Carolina and we stopped here to eat something, was honestly very impressed, I had the carnitas and it tasted fresh and delicious. The server was also very kind and attentive wish I had gotten her name. Will definitely come again in the future if I plan another road trip.

Wait staff was very friendly, portions were generous, and the food was very good! Will definitely eat here again if given the opportunity. Here is a pic of my shrimp tacos.

Although the food may not be completely authentic, it is still quite delicious. Additionally, I believe you won't find a better margarita anywhere in Louisiana. I like to order mine extra large, on the rocks, and without salt. I highly recommend visiting, even if it's just to relax on the outdoor patio with a margarita. The staff is exceptionally attentive and goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience. Seriously, you should check out the lunch menu—you won’t be disappointed!

This was my first visit since the remodel, and everything was fantastic! I will definitely return.

The remodel looks great, and the food and drinks are consistently good. The only issue we had was that our seating outside felt a bit disconnected from the rest of the diners, almost like it was an afterthought. Next time, we'll just wait for a different table.
