Punjabi Dhaba Indian Cuisine - Hammond

The lunch buffet at this restaurant was good, but there was a strange older man walking around the entire place, which made me feel uncomfortable. I believe he may be the owner. The food was rated 5 out of 5, the service 3 out of 5, and the atmosphere only 1 out of 5.

The food at this restaurant was excellent. The location was a bit odd, but it was worth visiting. I ended up ordering two entrees so I could try more dishes and have leftovers. If I lived closer to Hammond, I would definitely make this a regular lunch spot. The server was friendly and helped me choose dishes since I am not very familiar with Indian food.

I have been putting off getting Punjabi Dhaba for five years. lam so glad I got it today! Don't let the appearance fool you, Punjabi Dhaba has fantastic food. Plenty of vegetarian-friendly options, and everything was well priced. I will absolutely frequent PD from now on! Vegetarian options: Twenty vegetarian entree options. The aloo gobhi was great! I had heard tale of this place and was questioning my friends mental capabilities. An Indian restaurant? At a truck stop? That's actually good? Now I believe them. It's in more of a convenance store type situation, but well worth the stop. Reasonably priced, food that is freaking amazing, service that is friendly. I recommend this to anyone who likes Indian food. They also have clean restrooms and super soft toilet paper.

Really decent Indian Buffet. (Far and few between Indian buffets) Couple things on here you just don't find anywhere else. This is my favorite Butter Chicken in the country. At least today it was! Super friendly staff, family, owners. Get there before 1500 for the buffet. After that, it's from the menu.
