Brook - Hamburg

A fantastic view to the old harbour and storage town, you have at the Brook restaurant. The restaurant was recommended by good friends, we were pleasant surprise. Even when you enter, you will notice the impressive, warm, somewhat reddish lighting and the beautifully covered tables. The whole ambience is remarkable. The services are extremely friendly, fast, clean and attentive. The kitchen is recommended. The sole fillets on Pastinakenpurèe with champagne sauce and green asparagus (24,50€ were very good. La Morocha Rumpsteak (medium with Provencial vegetables and tomatoes Gnocchis (19,50€) was also recommended. Just like the food was dressed, there was something for the eye. The creativity of the kitchen impressed us. As a drink we took an open wine, the Chardonnay Alois Lageder 0,2L (7, € was recommended. Good quality and good recommendation. I would like to say that what was offered to us is that the price of performance is fine. This restaurant can be recommended to any of his friends.

Visited the place with Michelin rating for 2016-17. Place is nice in tip top condition. Tables with crisp white linen table cloth and waiters and waitresses very attentive to your every needs. The dinner started very well with the appetizers,but on the salty side. It was worth the Michelin rating till the main course came. It was the most forgettable part of the dinner but was saved by the delicious dessert. Maybe the place was really full or the chef was not really attentive with our main course that I will rate this otherwise nice place a 3 instead of 4.5. Will go back if they can still retain their Michelin rating.

Very good food, excellently presented - good service.This place is good for a business dinner as well as for a romantic rendez-vous.Unfortunately, at the moment covered in scaffolding, it still has a nice view of the Speicherstadt at the old harbor. Ask for a table by the window when you reserve.

Visiting Hamburg because of the splendid Elbfilharmonie concert, I was searching the web for a decent restaurant to eat at after the concert. Brook looked just fine and I have done my reservation 4 days ahead of my arrival. I have choosen a late seating at 22.15 which the restaurant website was offering The reservation has been accepted and I have received an confirmation email. On the day of my arrival, 15.00 I received a phonecall from the restaurant, that my reservation is late and that they are cancelling it!!!!! With no explanation why they would not tell me earlier, the lady just smoothly told me to f... off. I am wondering what the owner of this restaurant would do in my situation Congratulation, You might serve a good food, but there is a lot missing there

A good dining environment and the staff spoke English well. The food was well presented and tasty with a good selection available. Well worth the short journey from the central station.
