Perfect place for lunch or drink when the weather is beautiful. I saw dozens of boats, kajaks, crisp and paddleboards past while I had lunch. I had a baked kartoffel and salat. When they speak more German than I, they ask for a small cream the waitress spoke enough English to help me and was very friendly and patient.
My first time in this “satellite” restaurant of “summer terraces” was good. Not only because of the beautiful sunny weather, but also served by the service in cafe and the food. we had the scampi salad and typical for hamburg matjes (herring). fried kartoffeln and fried. both were good in quantity and quality. the waitresses were attentive and friendly. prices are acceptable and not too expensive. I can recommend this place despite previous reviews. sometimes it is also the way they treat the personal.
The cafe leinpfad lies directly on the water, making it the perfect place for a afternoon drink. Unfortunately, it was not worth eating or drinking. my friend had a caipirinha and it was literally impossible to drink it. the sugar was crispy at the teeth, the drink itself tasted terrible. she asked to be replaced, but it wasn't better. she never drank half the glass, so terrible it was. concerning eating, they have no good vegetarian options, so I went for the pesto spagetti that swim in oil. the part was very large, but I had to fish out the spagetti and drain them as they were soaked in olive oil. my friend had a baked potato that was a baked potato. the waiters brought us to eat, but no good ones, got our commands mixed and finally served me the wrong wee. they were friendly, but completely confused and out of him. so the place may be ok for coffee or a glass wine (if you get it right. but stay away from the food. such a shame, it could have been a real jewel.
With warm weather, it is a nice place to sit next to the water and eat something. it's always full, not easy to find a table. eating is nice, but we had to wait so much for it.
Such a great location. Then comes the wait, then the waiter/res- not the first time, with such a face, seemed fine for people next to us, but the moment there was a question and not in prefect German-it was too much. Pay more for location-not quality....Stick to just a beer(costing more than across the street) and move on!
