I ordered the spicy fried chicken that was really delicious! it came with a white bbq sauce and a second sauce that was really hot, but it still had taste. the koleslawin was also amazing. the best fellow I ever had. definitiw come back to try something else from the menu!

This is an awesome place, and John is a friendly fellow. The food tickles the tast buds in a special way. It is Bar-B-Q with hints of coconut, mango and other spices that I cannot place. I try to find excuses to drive an hour and a half out of my way to go and eat there.

I had been considering trying John's restaurant and after having some unpleasant experiences with fried chicken in Norway, I had high expectations due to being from the USA. I was hopeful that John's would meet my expectations since he was originally from the USA. The fried chicken was absolutely perfect, the best I have ever had in Norway and possibly the best I have had in a long time. I am grateful that John's restaurant is here and I highly recommend everything on the menu. The food was delicious and the owner was the most friendly and humble person I have ever met. We will definitely be returning to John's restaurant in the future. I will be dreaming about that fried chicken until then.

The chef at this restaurant shares his life story through his cooking. The spicy sauce reminds him of his mother, while the flavors of the Caribbean and the forests he worked in are also present in his dishes. He doesn't cook to please the public, but rather offers honest and delicious meals. The brisket is perfectly boiled and simply seasoned, tender and smoky. The chicken comes with two sauces - one spicy and awakening, the other calming and white. Customers on the go can order their food in a cold box, with instructions on how to properly reheat the meat.
