Contribuiți la feedbackSpent some time in Europe and always loved the pizza over there. Didn't make you feel bad like it was fast food when you ordered it at a restaurant. The pizza here is the same, full and satisfied at the end but not greasy feeling. Delicious thin crust that just came off a wood fire. We had a gluten free tuscan as my fiancée is celiac and I had a regular spinach pizza. I had some of hers and couldn't really tell the difference in crust. I wish I had ordered GF too so she could have tried mine. Awesome place. Definitely going back to work my way through all the different pizzas. She also really enjoyed the mussels she got, they were a large portion for $10 or so.
Well, I was excited to try this place. It's very inviting from the outside, with a nice, cute little patio beside a busy road. They have many seafood dishes, but "specialize" in wood fired pizzas.Ordered the mussels, which were only ok. A couple of them seemed a bit uncooked. Also ordered the Mediterranean pizza and my apprehensions from the other reviews I read were very true. The pizza was bland, soggy in the middle and way too cheesy. it was edible, but it certainly wasn't a $20 pizza.Unfortunately, I'm not going to try this place again or recommend it to anyone.
We were looking for a convenient venue to take our aging parents. What better choice than La Piazza, we were told. Easy parking, no stairs and good food! Boy, we were we misinformed! We particularly selected Wednesday evening because of the special listed on their website of "wine down Wednesday" which indicated that it was 50% off a selection of wines. When we asked which wines were available on this list we were told that they were not offering that special anymore! And they would not honor that advertisement! Then when we asked for another bottle, for which we were going to pay full price, they indicated that they were out of that wine! We ordered pastas, pizza and Caesar salad. According to our parents their pasta was good. Our pizza was served cold and the vegetables were raw! The Caesar salad was flavorless! The service from our waitress was substandard as well. We had to ask for water and she never came back to offer us more even though we were there for two hours. We will never return to that restaurant and we will not recommend it to our family or friends. Not to mention, we paid $165.00 for terrible food and service!
I tried the haddock for the first time. I usually get Pizza which is amazing. But haddock is best in town for sure. Its a huge fillet. I tried with just salad it was very delicious. We sit on the beautiful patio in a sunny afternoon. One of my favorite restaurant in Halifax
The meat and cheese appetizer plate was excellent and served two generously. The pizza was made with very fresh ingredients and served at the perfect temperature.
