Cafe Insomnia - Guelph

This restaurant is now permanently closed since we visited insomnia regularly for years. it has changed hands a few years ago and was not the same. it is now permanently closed, a causality of the pandemic I suspect.

We were only there people as they had just opened for the evenings and had not advertised it. our food was well presented, but at best lukewarm. they heated it up, but it really shouldn't have happened as I said we were the only ones. the waiting staff were friendly, but they looked bored and let us know that they had that from the owner to close when we were gone. I hate to give a bad overview of this place, as I have done so much before. I hope it improves, but I don't think I'm going back.

I haven't been there for years. excellent eating from a short but diverse menu, fair prices, friendly staff, new decor. they have returned at least once!

Very good dinner. salate, salmon-chickener-Pam. superb. tiramisu was excellent and light. eating and service and atmosphere were the first price

A lovely warm and cozy restaurant for a fall evening. Do not miss the arugula salad. Amazing. Tender delicious veal with a side of pasta with fresh homemade tomato sauce. Live music rounded out the experience. This restaurant is a neighbourhood treasure and a unique...dining experience is Guelph.
