If you can stop, drive 10 more miles for gas and save tons, then drive 10 more to Lockhart for some of the best bbq in Texas. The people who work here are beautiful, but they are constantly overcharged 0.60 per gallon on gas compared to any other who is bbq at best and overpriced, and they often change their closing times and ability to get food as they choose. It's the next place for me and I'm going to go hard. Tell me it's a nice staff, not that nice owner. Someone should actually report the gas price.

We have found this place inadvertently while we are from Houston to Kerrville and it is one of the best places for BBQ, tasty. We have made many excursions back and forth and are always looking forward to eating here when we get there before it closes. Yesterday we made one of these trips and there about four. We starve and look forward to our BBQ sandwich. What a disappointment when we fall into them and it was excessively salty. I always eat that it was me, but then my husband said it wasn't the same. And they gave us a fork??? Well, the meat was finely chopped and wouldn't stay in the sandwich. They make it with bread we like, and it generally tears lighter. Oh, yeah, we're gonna eat here again, but I hope they read that and see that there was a problem yesterday.

This will be our new way to eat when you drive from Corpus to Murphy's Motocross track. Although they specialized in BBQ, I hunted a burger and took a chance. Wow, what a surprise. It was delicious and the Pommes were incredible. The staff is incredibly friendly and fun to chat. Oh yes, make a huge selection of beer and decent on tap selection. Thank you and look forward to your breakfast Tacos on the next trip.

Wow! My husband and I found this gem while driving towards Houston from San Antonio area. It feels like Texas as soon as you walk in- southern decor, fresh barbecue smells. I was very pleased with how clean the restaurant was and how nice the staff were. I'm pretty sure they were the owner and owners family. Thank you all for making me and my husband feel so welcome and we will definitely be back if we're ever in town. Their fresh bbq line stops at 3 pm right now and their store closes at 5 pm but they still had sandwiches and sausages available for purchase which was nice!
