Cafe Thyme - Gilroy

I'm a bit late but I finally wanted to write my review for the amazing service we got from Diane. Last year in November, my partner and I got married and one of the things you need for a wedding is of course a caterer that provides delicious food for all the hungry guests. We had a smaller wedding with only about 40 guests. After looking at different caterers and getting a bit desperate because the date came closer and closer we finally found Diane and Just in Thyme. We met up with her in her restaurant to discuss a potential menu and what other items we would need (like plates and glasses, etc). Diane was super helpful with the planning. We had a few ideas for a potential menu but only with Diane's help were we able to come up with a tasty sounding list of dishes. On the wedding day, Diane and her helpers came by the place we rented and started cooking (we had a big kitchen in there for her to do her magic). In a few hours, she put together an amazing menu to feed 40 people. We booked buffet-style serving and once the tables were set, food was served. I am still amazed -thinking back on it- how great the food was. Several of my friends who attended the wedding also commented on how tasty it was. They expected standard wedding food which is not necessarily always a hit and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and great flavor of what was served. Diane's food certainly made a great day even better. She wasn't even bothered by some of my relatives sneaking into the kitchen to get a better look on what's cooking. I am actually surprised not more people tried to get in there because the food smells coming out of there were just that amazing. I can highly recommend her services. It was a joy dealing with her and setting everything up.

Simply delicious! Stopped on our way to San Francisco and do not regret it. Turkey sandwich with gruyere was outstanding. Great place to have lunch, don't let the curve appeal scare you off... the decor inside is very trendy.

A hidden gem in Gilroy great service, great food! Clean and friendly, but lacks ambience.

What does it mean if you are still talking about your dinner a week later?? We 3 came together to celebrate our friends' birthday and we had a blast. Friendly, thoughtful, attentive service ... delicious, creative, inspiring, seasonal cuisine ... and wonderful desserts. We had a visit and a fine chat with the chef/owner who is so committed to the Gilroy community. Gorgeous fresh huge Sea Scallops, right from the ground fresh beets for salad, and creamy risotto in addition to Chicken Marsala piping hot. Chocolate, mint and praline flavors for dessert all along with a crisp and understated white wine. Timing was great for each course. Glasses refilled without muss. And a whole variety of clientele enjoying themselves likewise. It's a gem. It's a keeper. Now, when will you be going?
