Espettus - Funchal

It’s always a pleasure to dine at Espettus. The welcome is like returning to a family of warmth and care. The meal is equally special and the fact that so many local people eat here proves it’s worth.

I had already read the reviews of Espettus on TripAdvisor before we went to Madeira and since it was so close to where we stayed, we gave it a jump. After having eaten in a Rodizio restaurant in Great Britain recently, we were a bit careful what to expect, but actually everything was fine. My son and I had Rodizio and my wife, a new red meat lover had T-Bone Steak. The food was delicious and there were many possibilities on the salad bar to accompany the meat. The staff was very attentive and as usual all spoke well English. Many local customers also used the restaurant and seemed to be another good sign to visitors. If you live in this part of Funchal or nearby, we recommend Espettus. In fact, we booked last night to eat there.

Amazing food. Has something for everyone in our 4 generation party of 5. Great, friendly service. Would definitely return! The salad bar was a happy surprise with many fresh options.
