Cafe 4342 - Forest Hill

Had a wonderful meal in such pleasant surroundings. The food was amazing, the garlic bread divine but even better were the hot chips, oh my, they were the closest I have ever had to the ones when I was in Scarborough, UK as a child. The chicken was soft and succulent with homemade sauces. We will most certainly be back.

Coffee really good.Food was served beautifully and mine tasted ok. I have been here before for lunch and dinner... and lunch by far is amazing. It is my favourite cafe ive been too. Looking for something to do.. so a Sunday drive and explore.Note recommended to book a table as it us known on some days to be packed.

Had a great time at cafe 4342! The reviews called it a hidden treasure, and I definitely agree. From the outside you think it's just a lovely little shop, and then when you walk through you come to the dining area. The food is amazing! I had the portobello mushrooms for entree and the salmon for main. The portion sizes were pretty generous, so unfortunately I couldn't finish it all - but that doesn't mean I didn't try! Also had an affogato, which was served in a martini glass. While I didn't have it, a friend said the chicken dish (with wasabi and lavender aioli) was quote 'the best chicken he'd ever had'.

Myself, 3 other ladies and a baby enjoyed a quiet walk around the streets of Forest Hill in the autumn sunshine then we stopped at the Cafe for morning tea. We each had a hot drink and a piece of cake and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. The strawberry cheesecake, the rich fruit cake and my apricot
