Service slow no one seems to be in any hurry to serve! Roof leaking so buckets everywhere and chairs upside down on tables! Coffee very weak even when we asked for stronger coffee it was no stronger! Expensive for what we had won’t be going back!

Being someone who works in the hospitality industry, I always try to understand the reasoning behind the way things are run at a certain establishment if I have a rare bad experience. However, in this particular case, there are no excuses and I am leaving my first ever negative review! We ordered a black coffee and a mocha, both of which were completely undrinkable. The mocha looked fine, but the taste was off, and I even took a photo of my black coffee to show how bad it was. It didn't taste like coffee at all, which indicated that the machine had not been properly cleaned in a while. Additionally, when it came time to pay, my card wouldn't work so I tried another one. The staff then loudly insisted that it was my cards that were the issue and demanded I find cash in front of other customers. When I mentioned a wire hanging out of the card machine, I was met with another dismissive response. Feeling anxious with the line of customers behind me, I took matters into my own hands and pushed the wire back into the machine, which allowed my card to work immediately. The staff at this establishment could benefit from a refresher course in customer service skills.

We waited for 50 minutes for 2 regular English breakfasts and 1 small one. We eventually left and received a refund. We will not be returning to this restaurant again.

It was unclear if there were two separate lines or just one, so everyone politely stood in a single line. After waiting for 15 minutes, I found out that the only vegetarian option available was a full breakfast. They didn't have any sandwiches, only bacon or sausage until noon. Since it was already 11:45am, we had to leave and go to the small café across from Waterstones instead.
