After dining at various restaurants during our 3-week vacation in England, Wales, Scotland, and now Ireland, this one stands out as one of the best.
The restaurant is small in size, but the ambiance is lovely. During our visit, the chef even came out and played the saxophone at the end of the evening.
Great food and customer service. We arrived hoping to dine outdoors with our dog but the staff were very apologetic and informed us this was not an option in March and the furniture was not set up. They informed us they could provide any dish as a takeaway option. We ordered two specials (risotto with mussels seabass on a bed of mash) with a side of sautéed potatoes. The food was prepared quickly and the staff could not have been more friendly. The food was excellent and portions were generous. We will definitely return if eating in Enniscorthy again.
Once the lady greeted us checked our covid certs we were sat and from that moment we had a wonderful time. From the menu to the wine list, everything looked so original and different than the usual pizza/pasta restaurant. It way busy, despite being Wednesday. With the menus we were served some bread with caponata. So delicious. We both had the same dishes (the specials). For starters we had the seasonal turnip-top pasta dish and for main we had the Brill in a pig-cheek and fresh tomatoes, all cooked with olive oil (you could even taste it). All fresh and tasty. For desserts we shared a Sicilian Cannolli, the best in Ireland. The chef went out and played the sax for our anniversary. What a nice touch. At first the menu looked a little expensive, but the experience was way superior than expected. This little gem deserves an extra star for its uniqueness. We highly recommend it.
Took my mum to this Restaurant recently. It looks lovely and cosy on the web site, but the restaurant itself was cold we kept our coats on throughout. .We asked for baby boiled potatoes, but got fries. When I asked, they furnished half cooked potatoes a large potatoe sliced into chips and half cooked). Mum ended up eating the fries. I'm not saying it was terrible, they were friendly when I called to make the reservation. The food was nice, but well overpriced for what it was. We were cold, so didn't linger for dessert. Linda
