Umi - Encinitas

This tiny restaurant is not ideal for groups larger than 4 who want to sit together. The $13 ramen comes with a small portion of noodles and only 1 tiny piece of pork. The broth is overly salty and leaves you extremely thirsty. Limited parking and a dark surrounding make it easy to skip this place.

The food that I ordered was good. the beer came in a frosted glass and the appetizer we ordered tasted great. Everyone left happy and I look forward to coming back. The receipt was a bit odd because it said Resin Craft Encinitas. I will eat there again.

The service was extremely slow, they have 2 wait staff who are trying to take care of the entire place during Saturday night.They definitely need to hire more people. Also, ramen was very basic. Never going back, sorry.

Umi is so amazing. This is a great local spot. I left my wallet here last night and they had it saved for me safe and sound. We eat here regularly and love to come on Tuesdays for the special ramen. Thank you Umi!
