For a country pub, GREAT! Compared to those snooty, super snobby, city-slicker pubs, less so! Prices are nice, food is delicious and interesting - everyone
The Edithburgh Hotel and its associated restaurant have now closed. The Troubridge Hotel diagonally across the road is still open but with the closure of its competitor have chosen to escalate their prices..
The kitchen staff were friendly and the food was average but fine. The staff were accommodating in that we wanted mash in lieu of chips. We were given a nice window seat and the food arrived without much delay. It was a pleasant experience in contrast to the bartender who was grumpy, almost rude and unhelpful. If you want pleasant bar staff to to Coobowie Hotel which is only 5km away.
We went to this hotel for lunch one Sunday last year and it would take a lot of persuasion to get me back in their door again. I ordered Seafood Risotto and it was the worst meal I've had in years. Tough, dry seafood out of a large tin or jar I'd guess and ghastly gluggy rice. The salad bar looked like last night's leftovers.
