Maybe it's the geordie in me, but to a bar with my wife and two adult sons to celebrate one of their promotions on a Friday night means that probably one of the last things I expect to see is young men and women drink...soft drinks and playing board games, not that this is a cricket, it's just not something that they really see in newcastle, that means

I've been here for years. the eating menu and the yorkshire pudding wraps and the burgers were a personal fave. we came to york last week and it was so disappointing that the menu was changed. plant-based vegan food...not for us now. but we still tried. my wife had the wodka pasta. she described it as a cold brunette tasteless slop. I had the “meat balls”. they could only be described as spheres. hard and dry with lumpy gravure. to the happiness the service was just as good as ever and the beer, cocktails, laugh and nice bar staff could save our day! we will not come back for food, but in any case will be again for drinks as soon as we are back in york!

Visited twice in the last week and both of them had a nice warm welcome. nicole was great for the first time. a fab aperol and gin and tonicum a good selection of beer. a lot of space to sit in rest, right in the center of the city. had not...Kanzee to eat as the cook finished at 4.30, but still enjoyed our visit and will return

My twin brother stepped and I were pub and bare who jumped around this part of york when we believed victor j’s bar and what a great sound. if I look here and I knew I would enjoy my visit, the interieur super, clean decor...and furniture, an eye catching napable,big wall art and many sitting possibilities distributed in this bar, it's just a great place to relax. we were here on a Thursday evening, bar was busy, we ordered a more recent from the old mout brewery, these were served in excellent condition, we just stepped back and took in the big bar we were in. my zider was completely delicious, a delicious fruit apple wine, park and very refreshing, it certainly cut through the thirst in a hot night, it was just so good in such a large bar that enjoys a quality apple wine. we really enjoyed our cider’s here, we stayed only for those who were everyone before we moved and first visit in victor j’s bar we had a great time. victor j’s bar is easy to find finkle street. opening times are; Monday to Sunday, open from 9 o'clock. a great bar, good to check if they are in the opposite.

Charming bar with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Enjoyed the good music playing and although we didn't try the food, it looked excellent! The cocktails were reasonably priced and delicious. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting York.
