Food is always very good! The California burrito did not disappoint! Eating in or take out the food is always consistently good!

I was charged for food that I never received at this restaurant. Although the service is usually good, my experience was horrible and the service was bad. I recommend double-checking your receipts.

Omggggoodness!! Beef Birria Tacos and add a little Queso with the spicy salsa that came with the order is a party in your mouth!!! I love tacos!! But these right here were everything!

I enjoy dining at restaurants that offer good food and a great atmosphere. El Patron is located in a unique area of Durham, but once you step inside, the scenery, atmosphere, and your perception of other Mexican restaurants changes. This is definitely the best place to enjoy outdoor seating, sip on a margarita or alcoholic smoothie, indulge in a delicious meal that doesn't feel overly Americanized, and simply unwind. I have not been a fan of many Mexican restaurants in the area because they tend to be overly decorated and their food often tastes greasy. El Patron has now become our preferred dining spot. I just wish we had discovered it sooner.

The service at this restaurant is excellent, the food is delicious and served in generous portions. The outdoor seating is a great feature, especially when the weather is nice. Overall, this is a fantastic Mexican restaurant. Be sure to order the Enchiladas Supremas, they are amazing!
