Barbed Wire Reef - Denver

I went to this restaurant for my birthday. The service was excellent, but the food was not particularly impressive. The meal was fine overall, but I really enjoyed the ambiance, aesthetic, and vibe of the place.

We have gone here and come back a few times. It is consistent and a cute vibe. The birria enchilada was really great.

Fantastic all the way around. Great food (the enchiladas and the Birria tacos were exceptional) and awesome drinks (some how even the traditional margarita just hit different). Parking can be tough, but this place is definitely worth visiting for great Mexican inspired cuisine.

Amazing staff and super unique great tasting food! We live about 45 minutes away but my boyfriend and I like to come every once in a while to spoil ourselves. I've also brought a good friend with me once, who has Celiac disease severely. They had really good options for her and they made certain that there was zero cross contamination in the kitchen. The food was alright, it had a modern Mexican twist to it so it was just average. I found it more enjoyable when I didn't think of it as traditional Mexican food. They do offer good light meals as well. The cocktails were excellent and the atmosphere was great, so we will definitely return. And yes, the reviews with the same pictures are also from me. My girlfriend used them for her review.
