I only go for the hibachi grill but did try some other food and it was not cold (1pm). The place was packed and yet the food areas were very clean. Somebody was constantly cleaning the bars.
I'm not going to lie... I seen some scary reviews for this place and it almost swayed me from trying it for the first time. I've moved away from the QC since 2004. I'm working in the area and an avid Chinese restaurant fan. Gave the place an honest shot. I didn't see or experience any of the problems I've read about in Yelp, Google, or Facebook reviews. No bugs, everything I went for was fresh and as tasty as could be expected, plates cups and silverware appeared clean. The only issue was it was a tad spendy, but with this economy I suppose that is to be expected. I'm not going to see 2004 prices obviously. It was $19.58 for a Monday evening dinner spot with a soda My server was on the ball with keeping the drinks topped off until the check came. She kept the used plates moving off the table as they appeared. I tipped her accordingly (more than I would for a typical buffet experience >15% I enjoyed it to be honest and I would go back. It would have to be a once-in-awhile treat for me personally.
It has new owners and the food is excellent. One of the largest Oriental Buffets I 've ever been too! Service was excellent. Drinks were kept full and plates were taken away every time you went back to the buffet. Shrimp at least a dozen different ways, Coconut shrimp, butter shrimp, stuffed shrimp, whole salt pepper shrimp and so on. Chicken everything from fried wings to all the chinese entrees. I really liked the Coconut Chicken! Seafood 6 types of fish including fried walleye, scallops, mussel and baby clams on the shell. Crayfish, sushi and more. Beef Brisket, plus all the Chinese beef entries like Mongolian beef. More vegetables than I expected. Corn on the cob, steamed green beans, lots of different potato entries. All the entries are seasoned to what a MidWesterner would expect. No strange flavors and the spicy entries were labeled well. Four kinds of soup. Every dipping sauce you expect. Pork Skewered, ribs and more. Made to order sushi. Pick your items and a sushi chef makes it for you. Everything is fresh and on ice. Build your own stir fry everything HuHot has. Pick your items and a chef fries it for you! Two cold fruit, and salad bars. Cold baby octopus hot fried frog legs. 8 different flavors of dip your own ice cream Dessert Bar had everything you expect. Cost Senior, Friday night during Lent $17.62 with tax.
The selection was AMAZING. Great food. They could have had a cleaner establishment. Soy sauce on table was sticky...but they were so busy and short staffed. Great service.
Great food! Great customer service and friendly employees! I took a friend of mine there he had never been there before. He enjoyed his self. He loves the food and their price. Now I can't get him to venture out to different restaurants. It is always the Dynasty. Lol...
