Contribuiți la feedbackThis is a really lovely museum. My husband and I zoomed through in about two hours. If you have children with you (which would truly be perfect) you’ll want to plan on longer. You’re taken up to start the adventure on the fourth floor via escalator. There are elevators available if needed. It’s very easy to follow the flow of the layout so you don’t miss anything. Tons of hands-on activities along the way.
Be sure to purchase your timed tickets in advance! We were a bit late getting ours and ended up with a 12:30 time slot, but it was well worth it. The venue features multiple floors of incredible interactive exhibits that can easily take up an entire day to explore. We spent four hours there and felt like we were rushing through it. My four kids, who are between 3 and 10 years old, particularly loved the dinosaur and robotics sections, but honestly, everything was fantastic! We're definitely planning to return for more exploration.
Perot Museum of Nature Science Is Stunning in architecture. Not just massive in scale but artistic in design. Rated for kids: super interactive and educational. The Museum has five spacious floors with great and diversified exhibits. After visit here twice, my experience tells me that Perot Museum of Nature and Science is super extraordinary due to what they have to offer, both to kids and adults alike. Don’t you love to be racing with a professional athlete or with a cheetah? Or gazing into the mass universe? Or standing by the real size dinosaur skeletons? The dinosaur skeletons are impressive I am telling you! Another excellent place for interactive play for kids is The Children’s Museum. Kids 5 and under can roam and explore from Farmer’s market, to scavenger hunt, to water play. Again, this is an interactive and educational museums that are not just primarily for children, adults will have a lot of fun learning and interacting too. Parking for $10, $5 for members I heard.
Educators can get in free when you sign up online and show proof of your credentials. People on certain specific government programs can get a $1.00 ticket. I think there are 1st Responder and Military discounts as well. Parking is $10.00 per a vehicle nearby in a covered parking garage area with a guard at the pay booth upon exiting. Nine of us went for $28.00 counting 2 vehicles with discounts. There is was a short line if you were buying tickets there, but we bought ours online and had a no hassle no line entry. There is an area which is partially shaded outside the facility with xylophones to try out, plastic alligators for kids to climb on, and a shallow water kiddie area to play in if too hot. A change of clothes is recommended if getting wet. I was impressed with the amount of security inside of the facility and enjoyed it. Make sure to check out all levels and especially the interactive children's museum one floor below the entry level. We brought lunch and ate outside before entry. The drinks are $3.50 to $7.00 depending on what you get if buying from the Cafe on site. There is pricy food there for purchase as well as a gift shop. Counting eating we spent about 3.5 hours there but walked quite slowly to enjoy the exhibits and participated in interactive things to do on nearly level. Make sure to be a dinosaur dancer to the music. That was pretty fun.
Great play area for kids on the lower level, each floor has its big hit, though floor 4 has a ton of fun activities! Took our little one and had a blast. Only reason for 4 stars is because their additional Lego exhibit was an extra $8 and I find that to be a bit pricey for what you get. Only reason it’d be worth it is if you have a little builder to sit and build in a somewhat dimly lot ballroom. Wish they would make these included in the price. Other note is that they’re pretty strict about mask wearing apparently “science” is a marketing ploy ; .
