Contribuiți la feedbackWent here for a birthday and my first “high tea” experience. The table settings, decor, and environment is so dainty and pleasant! We had tea (lavender to be specific), if course, which I enjoyed. We also had scones, zucchini bread, pastries, cucumber sandwiches, and chicken salad sandwiches (all pictured below). I wasn’t crazy about the food, but I think some of it may just be acquired tastes and I’m not used to any of the dishes. It’s a great place for intimate gatherings with girlfriends, or any of the women in your life. I’m glad I went. It was a change from the typical Dallas restaurants and bars. It was 9 of us total and we each paid $30 even.
We loved it but… My wife and I visited for her birthday (although we didn’t celebrate at the restaurant). We enjoyed the atmosphere, staff attentiveness and the food. It was overall a great visit. However, we had a big piece of hair under the onion soup bowl (between the saucer and the bowl). Since it was under the bowl and we had already finished the soup, we didn’t bring it to the attention of the server. That being said, we thoroughly enjoyed every other aspect of our visit and will be back hopefully to brush up more on my French language skills.
Place was pretty full on a Friday so reservations recommended. We got the mussels and escargot as appetizers, they were just okay. Wasn’t a fan of the mussel broth which I usually love to soak up with bread. Entrees were excellent though. We got the pan seared soled with crab and ribeye.
I came here with my food group and we were all so pleased with this place. Our server Eric was just fantastic, he made great recommendations, was very attentive, and quick to go out of his way( taking out pictures). We started with the Escargots à la Bourguignonne and the Napoléon de Champignons Sauvages (mushrooms) and both were just delicious!! The escargot was my favorite of the two though, it was FULL of flavor. Next time I will order two of them for the table. For my entree I had the Canard Rôti au Cassi (duck) and once again, full of flavor. This place really knows how to season their food. I couldn’t have picked a better plate. For desert we tried them all lol and my favorite was the Tarte aux Pommes (apple tart). I love this place. They knocked everything out of the park. I didn’t have high expectations given that it’s in a shopping center, but boy was I wrong!
Great tasting food with amazing atmosphere. We have been to Paris a couple of times and sitting at the bar here feels like a eating at a Bistro in France since the majority of the staff here speak French. The trout alamandi and lamb ribs were both excellent. Our bartender, bernard, was also very friendly!
