Vazquez Restaurant - Covington

I was searching online for a restaurant which served Cuban food, when I found this great little place in downtown Covington, La. Vazquez! Not knowing what to order, I decided on the steak onions, served w/ black beans, white rice, salad bread. I also ordered a side of fried plantains (delicious). Very good meal at a very fair price. Can't wait to come back for the Cuban Sandwich... I hear it's one of the best around!

I've been here twice. Two weeks in a row, and I can guarantee I'll come back for a third! Wonderful food, agreeable people, and a lovely atmosphere. Everything was amazing; will return, hungry, for dinner every chance I get.

8-20-2020 Returned and got the large Cuban... it just gets better! The pork was more tender than normal... so keep that up! Got the large and didn't need any fries. Service is always great... very friendly family business. Regret I didn't take a photo. Previous visit...Rated a five because I got exactly what I expected. Came in for lunch and they were surprisingly empty, and ordered the Cuban sandwich and fries. We sat down and they brought the food to us... usually you pick it up at the counter. Our party of 3, all enjoyed our lunches, a gumbo, meatloaf plate, and my sandwich. Not everyone makes a filling and correct Cuban sandwich... but Vasquez definitely does! You won't need the fries either.

Very nice hearted people and good company full of laughs and joy and good jokes everyone needs to get this experience in a restaurant

Great service and amazing food! There is no line or wait to be seated.
