Contribuiți la feedbackWe visited this restaurant after making a booking. The location is stunning with views over the Perranporth bay. The service and food were excellent, top class. We would have rated 5 stars until what follows.....However after 2 courses we were told we would have to moved to the windy decking/bar outside as our time slot was finished. We were complete surprised by this as only having been there 1.10 minutes, we were going to order desert and coffee. Never during a meal have we been asked to move midway through. We queried this and were told that as a couple we only had an allocated time slot of 1.5 hours! We were not made aware of this during or prior to booking. Neither is this a fast food restaurant where you would expect the turn around to be quicker. The manager did apologise and said it was due to extra Covid cleaning cleaning and re setting the table)! Such a shame as we did not feel we could finish our perfect evening under such time constraints and we left to eat desert elsewhere. I suggest the management review the 1.5 hour time slot given to consume a 3/4 course meal. The restaurant is not cheap or part of the eating out government scheme. Please look after your customers!!!
A great place to eat overlooking the beach, with huge waves pounding and some plucky surfers. We had lunch, mine was thick slice of brown toasted bread with mashed avacordo and salsa, very tasty and beautifully presented. Followed by blackberry posett. Again very tasty and well presented. The staff were delightful and so helpful and friendly. Will go back soon.
Sat on the terrace and had lunch. Lovely view of the beach. Very peaceful even though the beach was busy. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was well presented, very tasty, if a little pricey, but couldn’t fault anything. Had already done the cheaper options with the grandkids so this was our treat for the two of us. Well worth it!
This is a boutique hotel, you are made to feel welcome the minute you walk through the door. It's an amazing house and Johnathan is a considerate host. Our room was large with a walk in shower, thick white towels and dressing gowns. Free toiletries good quality. Room for a trolley with tea coffee and yummy biscuits. The breakfast was the best we've had any where in the world, fresh berries, thick yogurt, honey jams, different breads for you to toast.in a proper toaster. Different diets catered for. Fresh local produce cooked to order. There is a court yard for a glass of wine at the end of the day. Comfy bed and pillows, a must for me, large flat screen TV. Enough storage space and coat hangers. The hotel is in the better part of Penzance near restaurants and pubs. A short skip to the prom. There is parking at the hotel but check first. And a bus stop near by. We would stop again when we visit Cornwall an excellent hotel.
One of Penzance's hidden gems, this lively bar/club is tucked away behind a nondescript gate on Bread Street. With live music every night and a great selection of drinks (although they were out of lime for G&Ts), it's a great spot for a night out. The back area has a pool table, while the upstairs lounge/dance floor gets lively on weekends with a DJ. The atmosphere is fun once the place gets going, but be prepared to wait in line for the single cramped restroom. Overall, a fun spot for a night out in Penzance.
