We ordered from this restaurant for the first time during the new academic term and it exceeded our expectations. The students working there were polite, accommodating, and efficient. The Indian food we ordered was delicious, especially the Venison Rogan Josh. The portion sizes were just right. We are excited to attend their tasting evenings later in the year.
Our second visit to Senara and even better than the first. Firstly such pleasant and helpful young people. Secondly excellent value. Thirdly amazing food. Today we had a beautifully spicy fish goujon taco and a lovely wild mushroom bruschetta. Followed by the freshest fish and chips and a pork and black pudding dish accompanied by a wonderful beetroot dauphinoise genius idea and so we’ll cooked. Finally a generous portion of pannacotta and the lightest sticky toffee pudding. Thank you to the whole team for such a pleasant experience. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve booked to go back again twice!
I recently visited this outstanding restaurant for lunch with a friend and was thoroughly impressed. It was the beginning of the academic soft opening, with the food and service being better than many established restaurants I have visited. The staff, although nervous, were smiling, courteous, and eager to please. The food was exceptional, with prices for 1 course at £5, 2 courses at £8, and 3 courses for £10. Everything on the menu was tempting, as all dishes were cooked fresh and this was reflected in the taste. We both enjoyed the hake in gin and tonic batter with chunky chips, homemade tartare sauce, mushy peas, and burnt lemon. The little details in the dishes really made them stand out. The lemon posset with homemade shortbread was delightful and the gooey brownie with a delicious crust, chocolate sauce, and ice cream was also amazing. We even requested the recipes for both desserts! The restaurant is setting a high standard for the hospitality industry with the meticulous training the students are receiving and their determination to excel. Not to mention, the views from the restaurant are some of the best in Cornwall. Overall, an excellent venue that I highly recommend.
This restaurant offers a high-quality dining experience in a laid-back and welcoming environment. The idea of college students gaining hands-on experience in the hospitality industry by working in the restaurant is fantastic. The food was delicious and served with professionalism by the friendly staff.
