Dockland - Cork

Have not been here since pre Covid!! Food was superb, from the Calamari starter, the Asian Crispy Duck and a brilliant White Chocolate Cheesecake!! Indulgent food in a really nice setting!! Will be back….. 10/10

From the moment we stepped in the door of Docklands, we were treated to a fabulous experience. We were greeted by a most welcoming Maitre d' and lovely friendly waiting staff. The wide range of food on offer made for difficult decisions. The fact that all plates returned to the kitchen almost licked clean says it all. All dishes were cooked to order ,beautifully flavoured and garnished, and served with great charm and efficiency. The eldest in our party, aged 92, raved about her haddock croquettes and hake. The steaks were perfectly cooked . The wine recommendation of your sommelier was excellent. A very sincere thank you to Harold and team for enhancing our family celebrations of Laurie's Ph, D. conferring.

Had the pleasure of eating here two weeks ago, and it was wonderful! We were a party of 16 heading to a family wedding the next day so we were a mixed aged group, some were Vegetarian, some Vegan, and boy did they cater for all of us! The starters were amazing, great Vegetarian options, all exquisite, so tasty and fresh, everyone was happy! The Mains were just as good, great selection again, those who had steak said it was divine, cooked exactly as requested, again, every palate was catered for from fish, to prawns, and Vegan options, I had curry, it was sublime, omg the poppadums…. The Menu wasn’t huge, but it was well thought out for today’s diner as it was eclectic and modern! Equally, the desserts were up to the same high standards as the rest of the meal! We had drinks whilst perusing the menu and waiting for the last stragglers to arrive from the airport, Wine with dinner, Coffee and Irish Coffee afterwards and we’re stunned at how reasonable the bill was! Seriously good value…. I ate the previous week at Jacobs’s on the Mall and it was twice the price! (Not worth it)! We were not rushed here at Dockland even when we realised we were the last left! The night was fantastic, great food, great wine, lovely ambience, excellent value, I’m a fussy Vegetarian, and I thought it was all superb! I honestly think this is a first for me to be able to give a restaurant 10/10.. Well done Docklands, take a bow, you deserve it!

We had the BEST Sunday lunch birthday here that we could have imagined. 30 people of all ages and diet requests needs met for a very affordable 3 course menu. I have to commend the staff, chefs (and interior designer) on a truly perfect day. Everyone raved about the food and said the staff were wonderful, there was non stop chatter and laughter in the room and it was so lovely to see everyone happy together facilitated by this beautiful venue. Added perk of underground parking for the Irish weather!! The Docklands will be a recommendation of mine to all my wider family friends and anyone reading this review ..below is a photo of the unique (and delicious) Chocolate Torte birthday cake they baked and decorated for my mum! 5 stars

From the first phone call to organise a celebration for my husband I had the feeling we were in safe hands! Beth, the owner, and first port of call, assured me they were well used to such gatherings and that everything would be perfect, and indeed it was! On arrival we were welcomed and seated immediately. Our two tables (socially distant) yet conducive to conversation were in a lovely area in the restaurant. The restaurant decor is bright and modern with quirky touches throughout giving it a really vibrant and funky feel. It was busy and bustling and you just knew they were on top of their game. Our orders were taken quickly and effortlessly. Throughout the meal the waiting staff were efficient, attentive, friendly, good humoured and just lovely to everyone, which made for a great atmosphere throughout the restaurant, resulting in us having a wonderful celebratory meal. From starters to dessert and coffee the food was fabulous and faultless. Everything was well presented and cooked to perfection! My generous Calamari starter was beautiful. The main of Pork Belly was the best I have had anywhere the crackling was exactly as it should be “crackling”!! The Chocolate Torte dessert was to die for. Everyone in the party said that their meal was outstanding. The wine list isn’t extensive but well thought out with good variety and priced well. We had a French Red and a New Zealand White both were very good. We will definitely be returning and couldn’t recommend it highly enough!
