Contribuiți la feedbackThis dining experience was one of the worst I've had in a long time. Despite having a reservation and few other patrons in the restaurant, it took 20 minutes for us to be acknowledged for our dinner order. The wait staff seemed to be standing around, with the male waiter frequently talking to the female waiter while waving his hands. This behavior was odd and distracting. He also stopped by our table multiple times, rambling on about the menu without providing any real information. The grilled eggplant we ordered was poorly prepared and unappetizing. It may have been the worst dish I've ever been served in a Chicago restaurant. When the male waiter asked for feedback, I expressed my disappointment, to which he simply shrugged and agreed. The sushi was passable, but overall, the wait staff was slow and unhelpful. The restaurant lacked ambiance, using greeting cards to cover up wall cracks. I will not be returning.
I am half Japanese and half Mexican, visiting Chicago for the first time and craving Udon (Japanese noodle soup). It can be hard to find outside of traditional Japanese restaurants, but Cocoro is exactly that - a small, clean, and wonderful spot for Japanese cuisine. Whether you need something quick to go or are looking for a special dinner, Cocoro is the best choice!
The service at this restaurant was hilariously terrible. Several dishes were forgotten, orders were incorrect, and there was an unusually long wait between courses. We suspect that our waiter may have been an alien impersonating a server. Some of us even thought we were being pranked on a hidden camera show. If you don't mind poor service and mediocre food, this could be the spot for you.
While the food was good the overall service and experience was a huge disappointment. The server gets our orders wrong but we couldn 't tell him that because he simply disappeared from the table. Waited 30minutes before getting our first drinks. 2.5 hours late we were still waiting for 2 last rolls. His response? Chef has prepared this, it 's not what you ordered but would you like it no thanks we 'd rather be on our way now. I would not return here. There are many better options in that area.
This was one of the worst culinary experiences I had in some time. Even with a reservation and hardly anyone there, it took 20 minutes to ask us about our order for dinner. The waiting staff was around a lot. The male waiter has always spoken to the female waiter. It was strange and distracting. He also stopped stumbled twice at our table over the entire menu without real information. Everything was really good. He wasn't even our waiter. He made the experience worse. We ordered grilled eggplants and what we got was lubricated, coarse looking eggplants. It might have been the worst thing I've ever eaten in a Chicago restaurant. The male waiter asked us what we thought about what we had so far. I told him it wasn't good. He's schroff and agreed. Nothing was done by them. Sushi was so bad. The waiting staff was slow and not really useful. There is no ambience unless you believe that the way to cover cracks in the wall is with greeting cards. I'm not kidding. I never go back.
