The Rix - Charters Towers

The room was extremely unsanitary, with mold covering the bathroom and feces on the inside of the toilet seat. There was a large hairball in the shower and mold around the edges of the bench. The floor and under the bed had clearly not been cleaned in months. Additionally, there was no WiFi, complimentary breakfast, or even milk in the fridge. We were unable to even get a refill of coffee and sugar, forcing us to purchase our own. I would never stay here again.

Food is 10/10 the mood is very comfortable and stuff wonderful

Came to dinner and drinks. decent tap beer, amazing eating, friendly service. Would you like to experience a beautiful corner of charters towers? the rix is the destination.

Meal was good, but the “background” music was too loud, asking that it should be rejected, so we could talk, but much too loud. Maitre’d(ess) not at all kindly disappointed.

The staff aggressively shook a mother to quiet her baby and informed her that there was a time limit for her stay, making her feel unwelcome. Absolutely appalling.
