Contribuiți la feedbackListen to me...I begged to differ from those giving this a low rating want to know why? Because I know for a fact that this pie was one for my books. And if you know the kind of books I have, you'd understand and beg. As for me and this house? I'll be giving this one an easy 5 STARS. Yeah, I said it. 5. No stutter here today. Because the pepperoni to bread ratio, along with their world famous chili oil on the side is second to none beside it. So want to prove it? Just shoot me a call and I'll give you an update for sure on it all. Promise. Go to rocket pies exceptional wait times, booths hug nice, great pies, great lives, and that in that that's it. Thanks.
I'd rate this place between a 4.5-5 stars. It's not the best pizza I've had but it was pretty good. I also have a high bar because of where I live in the states. Our waitress was super friendly and upbeat. She took good care of us, even though it was busy and they were a bit short staffed. We split the olives for an app. They were really good and the red ones were new to me. We split the prosciutto pizza and margherita pizza. I liked the margherita one better. The chili oil is the star of the show and my friend bought a bottle to take back. It's made in house and I'm not a big chili oil person but this stuff was delish. They had a good beer list of local beers as well!
No doubt the pizza dough was excellent because the crust on its own tasted great. I was severely disappointed with the center area of the pizza though. The crust was noticeably wet at the bottom and flopped over immediately when lifted, causing THE TOPPINGS TO FALL OFF THE PIZZA. This was a huge problem with the capricciosa was that the ingredients were way too hydrated and heavy and just slid off the pizza and I HAD TO use utensils to eat it. Flavor was not bad. I like the ingredient combo but we got only like 1 prosciutto piece that spanned two slices. The Fungi was the only one and it stuck well to the pizza better (the toppings). Unfortunately, we didn 't really get the 'mushroom blend ' concept because it tasted like it was predominantly button or portabellos... one dimensional, and also lightly underseasoned. Idk why the base ended up so wet but it really made the pizza unenjoyable. These were 2 of the priciest pizzas too. Italian sodas (peach snd cream) were excellent though, and the waitress/hostess were very sweet. We didn 't get any water refills though just fyi but maybe there was a stand somewhere to refill. Idk. 6/10, would come again once in a blue moon... but would be hesitant to recommend.
So yummy!! The crust was nice and crisp and had a light layer of sauce which I love. My husband got the meatball calzone and it had great flavor too. Topped everything with the chili oil. Would eat here again. Chill vibe inside and friendly staff.
The hype is real. Believe the hype. Stayed in Canmore for just under a week. Got Rocket Pie for take out on night 2, had to come back for seconds. First night we got a margarita pizza, which was a 10/10. And the creamy garlic dip leveled it up. Second trip, we got a pepperoni pizza, the kale salad, and the house focaccia bread. Hands down one of the best pizzas we've ever had (we are from northern NJ, basically NYC-adjacent; we know good pizza). Go here if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.
