Murrieta's Bar & Grill - Canmore

3 of us ventured in with no reservation...was greeted by a male maitre'd who seated us immediately. Decor is relaxed and we were sat near the front windows near the fireplace. It took a while for our waitress to get to us (to the point where we actually considered leaving), but once she acknowledged us, she was great. Our food was spectacular. All 3 of us ordered Alberta Beef....it was cooked perfectly and was very flavourful. I didn't find the prices exhoberant considering the quality and quality of the food. All 3 of us agreed that it was the best meal we had in Canmore. Would have been 5 stars, save for the wait time for our waitress at the beginning. Highly recommend

Very nice atmosphere and we had great service. I would say it's price for the food. The food was fresh but not phenomenal. The calamari was a bit salty but crispy and tender. The clam chowder was also tasty but watery. Not very creamy. The pizza was fresh and had a crispy crust. Steak fritrs also good but small portion.. The cod was bland and the sweet peas not cooked. They did not peel the strings off peas. The portion was small. The seats are worn down. The bathrooms were clean. Overall not bad just pricier than most.

We had a delicious dinner here. Scallop fettuccine, chicken supreme and a cheese pizza for the kid. Everyone loved their dish and cleaned their plates.

Dropped in for an Americano and Apple crisp. I was greeted and seated right away and able to order shortly after being seated. The decor and service is as I remembered it. Background music a little to raunchy for my tastes but I suppose it encourages conversation. Decor and ambience still great and as always clean and wonderful presentation. All in all one of my favorites in Canmore. Menu has a Goff variety and although not wide meets most peoples food choices. Would come back here anytime. The Americano is outstanding. One of the best I have tasted lately. The Apple Crisp is heightened with the addition of a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum!!! The Americano was so good I ordered a second one!

Great atmosphere for an intimate dining experience. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations! Cocktails and dinner were fantastic!
