Contribuiți la feedbackI have never gone away dissatisfied with La Mono. In fact there has always been too much food. And the choices of Lebanese wine and beer is a great foil for all the wanky beer places nearby.
Loved this place, the waiter was great, and helped us to make some excellent food choices from the menu. We went on a Friday night, it was lovely and relaxing, spacious and not noisy, just right. And the food was delicious. Really tasty, authentic middle eastern flavours and we loved it all. We shared a mixed meat platter, Fattoush and Kibbe and couldn't recommend it more highly. The restaurant wasn't full on Friday night, come on Canberra, you are missing out! Come and try it, you won't be disappointed.
Firstly, let me tell you that I am a fan of Lebanese food and I have been to many restaurants in Australia that claim traditional Lebanese food. This has to be one of the better ones.I can say hand on heart, the Tabouli at La Mono has to be the best I have tried. The garlic and hommous dips.....delicious. I like my red wine, so when I asked the owner for a glass of red, he gave me the imported Lebanese red wine, brilliant. Well worth a visit and to be honest, reasonably priced too. Great setting, nice atmosphere and fresh food. What was really impressive was watching the owner going to tables and taking orders without writing anything down......Bravo!!!!
Dry, over-cooked meats and very expensive. I did not enjoy the meal at all. The staff were very friendly.
I've just enjoyed a really good meal at La Mono after having gone past it several times during the day and planning to have a meal there ...sometime. I'm glad that 'sometime' arrived. We chose a platter and two side dishes. The latter arrived before the platter and next time we'll ask for them to come together. The cauliflower was particularly nice with a great accompanying sauce. If you are slightly disappointed with the Lebanese bread, served in a basket in a plastic wrap and not warmed, be patient. The chicken (large succulent pieces) was served in a fried bread 'container'. This is not the fried bread of unhealthy breakfasts in the far distance past, but a light, crispy warm addition to the meal. We broke off pieces to have with the two delicious dips - humus and garlic served on the platter. There was also a generous serving of tabbouleh and delicious pickled vegetables. Service was efficient and pleasant. With a glass of Lebanese wine (slightly more expensive than the listed wines) we had a great meal and look forward to returning.
