Red Sea Restaurant - Buderim

We had takeaways from this popular little restaurant on the first and last nights of our recent trip. Both times we had Battered Barramundi and chips which were excellent and of a generous size. On the second occasion we also ordered Salt & Pepper Calamari but this was disappointing.The Restaurant has a varied menu with an excellent range of seafood on offer. Next time we’ve decided we should eat there rather than just order takeaways.

A surprise visit from good friends led to our decision to head to Red Sea Restaurant at Maroochydore for dinner this evening. We have never been disappointed with the quality, quantity or presentation of the meals, and tonight was no exception. The fish and salads were fresh and appetising and as usual the staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant allows you to easily converse with friends while enjoying your meal. Thanks Red Sea.

We often eat at Red Sea while on holiday and have always had lovely meals with excellent service. The barramundi dishes are lovely and we've tried several other menu options all of which have been delicious. Our 11 yr old grandson this year ordered the salmon tortellini as he remembered enjoying it 3 years ago so that's a pretty good recommendation! If you are after a real treat you must make room for the dessert Turkish Delight Pavlova, scrumptious. The chef and staff are very knowledgeable and so friendly and they make a great coffee too! Highly recommend this restaurant.

I brought my family to this restaurant on Wednesday night after raving to them about how amazing it is. We were not let down - everything was so fresh. Our favorites were the salmon stack and the chef's selection seafood platter. We were even visited by the chef to ensure everything was just right. I was surprised to see that the chef who cooked our meals was a young lady - well done! We will definitely be returning.

We were excited to try a seafood meal on the Sunshine Coast based on the good reviews, but we were ultimately let down. It's possible they were just having an off night or that the usual chef wasn't working. We ordered the seafood platter, which had received positive reviews. On the upside, our waitress was very friendly and attentive, and the natural oysters from Coffin Bay were delicious. However, the kilpatrick oysters were overcooked. The king prawns and bugs were the biggest disappointments - the prawns looked good but had little flavor, and the bugs were tasteless. There was no fish as mentioned in previous reviews, and the smoked salmon portion was minuscule. The salt and pepper squid was decent but slightly undercooked. Overall, we were left questioning how this restaurant had received all the positive feedback.
