Aioli - Bremen

We have been to this tapas bar at least five times and always loved the food. The waitresses were usually friendly as well, yet the owner is terribly rude and ill-behaved. The only reason why we are not going to this place anymore is the owner. We once called and asked whether there was a table available for three. The lady on the phone said yes, and I told her we'd be there within ten minutes. Seven minutes later we got there and there was no table available. The owner actually told us off (!!).

Aioli is a great place to enjoy delicious tapas either from the buffet or off the menu. It also serves individual dishes, but there is nothing quite like sharing a wide selection of dishes amongst friends whilst enjoying a good Spanish red.

We ate here last night and really enjoyed our food,six individual portions of tapas for two of us.We were served by an extremely polite and friendly waiter and the food was good,however it was spoiled by the owner/manager sitting at the end of the bar, drinking and going behind the service counter and stuffing tapas portions down his neck in front of everyone and clearly making his staff very uncomfortable. If he is the manager he should be sacked and if he is the owner he should get up off his fat rear end and actually be part of the service or go away and let his staff get on with it.Has he not read any of the reviews on here??

Why would you go eating Spanish while in Bremen? In fact I had no such plan ...till, at the airport while waiting for my bag a local recommend it to me as a good advise. I first enjoyed the walk in the Schnoor quarter (Schnoor viertel), cobble stoned narrow streets. then, I went for the menu, selection of tapas for starter ...just need to ask if you prefer fish, meat or vegetarian option and the main dish was selected for you based on the same principle. The service was really friendly (excellent english) ...all and all, a good experience and a good meal.

We had tappas and diner. Really good food and warm serving. We felt really welcome and would recommend the restaurant for sure.
