The service is the priority for the client, but for this restaurant is not the priority. I do not recommend this restaurant, I prefer the Italian restaurant located a few meters forward. The first plate fish salad. Then you were finish it, spend 20 minutes more for the second one. When your finish the dessert needs almost 30 minutes, come in, it is a lot time, you feel like you spend money only in drinks they does not care the time for the food and client. Then I don not recommend, I prefer the Italian's service and food at the first choice.
We sat outside of this nice looking cafe after a busy day walking around Bordeaux. It is in a nice quiet location (except for a couple of annoying children left to run riot by the parents not the restaurant’s fault). We had a lovely entree of salmon but the Caesar salad for main course was not really a Caesar salad it contained tinned corn, what looked like sliced bread crust for croutons and a milky substance that should have been Caesar dressing. That said, the salad veggies were fresh (perhaps a little gritty) definitely not a traditional Caesar salad. The other main was lamb rack which was presented as lamb chops but they were tasty. Service was ok but we left with mixed feelings.
Once we arrived at the restaurant, we received a warm welcome. We were sitting since 3 minutes, the waiter came to get our orders, drink and meal. Drinks came in the row, served with peanuts. Service was efficient during timer with a perfect timing. Food was delicious. I would suggest they search finer wines to upgrade the overall quality. I would recommand the place, choose the patio and enjoy a quiet evening .
Lovely dinner comprising of various main dishes and desserts. Moules et frites, served with amber beer, salmon with potato in the jacket and Caesar salad. All well prepared, tasty and presented nicely. Desserts included French classics like crème brûlée and cafe gourmand. Priced very moderately, great value for money. Next to the great food, very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. To be recommended!
Good place in the new area of La Bastide de Bordeaux. Wide meu enough to please everyone and excellent service from the waiters. Without highlighting anything in particular I am sure that you will not disappoint either. Everything well prepared and with good sides.
