Macado's - Boone

Not to be missed..busy so try yo plan ahead. Generous portions and selection of craft beer. When seated at bar couples do not have to wait too long for service. Great atmosphere..we had a super day in Boone!!

Went to the Macado at Boone for lunch. Was waiting for a table for over 35 mins and the party of 8 in front of us had been waiting for over an hour. The restaurant was almost empty when we finally got seated. We were told that the kitchen had said not to seat anybody else because they were behind. I counted over 20 plus tables empty at that time. The staff member stated that they didn't have enough cooking staff to run the kitchen. Then the waitress came to our table and since we were standing in line we had already selected our items and advised her we were ready to order. We ordered an appetizer and entree. The food came out first and the waitress stated the kitchen was running behind and the appetizer was being fixed and would be out when finished that she saw the food ready and brought it out so it would not get cold. The waitress then put the check on the table and 3 minutes had passed when she came back to ask if we needed a to go box. She had to be asked to refill both tea glasses on two separate occasions. She had also put the bill on the table the same time she brought out the food. I have been to other Macado's before and have had great service but with everything that happened with this restaurant I can say I will not be going back to this one again.

Grabbed lunch after touring App state. Definitely will be back, delicious food and great service too!

After touring Appalachian State University, we were hungry. Saw Macado's downtown, and decided to have lunch before headed on the road for our five hour drive. The food was delicious!!! The waiter was very kind. Sat us near one of their TV screens as we watched Rugby. The atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant was clean. When we visit again, we'll make sure to stop by for lunch

Pretty good food for this chain, good service, very hard to find parking though.
