Nicolas - Bilbao

We had starters of croquettes and asparagus, followed by steaks and deserts. Although there weren't many diners at the time, the main course took quite a while to arrive. The food was good and the price quite fair.

The menu was not extensive, but did have lots of seafood dishes. Staff were a bit ‘Fawlty Towers’ really. However, both meat dishes we chose were good. Lovely entrecôte steak fillet slices in a tasty cheese sauce. Wouldn’t rush back though.

This was a pleasant place, with attentive waitstaff. There was a somewhat limited menu, but my travel companion and I were happy with our choices (steak for me, seafood for him). One really nice feature is that some items are available in 1/2 portions, for a lower price. The one drawback, the night we went, was that there was a pronounced odor of cigar smoke, which was puzzling as it was a non-smoking place, and we couldn't actually see who was smoking. Apart from that, it was very nice.

Tradicional local, con un aspecto un tanto fan-como, donde se puede comer la granja vasca. dar la bienvenida a un pequeño burber, amable y eficiente servicio. alimentos de la tradición vasca, porciones muy góticas y abundantes. buena elección de vinos. precios justos, en línea con la zona

Pasamos por casualidad, porque no conocíamos el lugar. Pintxos muy variados y a pesar de ser las siete de la tarde (algunos lugares en esos momentos ya están un poco secos) fueron excelentes. Repito.
