La Palmita Cafe - Berkeley

I've been visiting La Palmita for over 15 years and absolutely love their burritos and the warm, family-friendly atmosphere. This place offers honest, home-cooked meals at their finest! Be cautious with other franchised Mexican restaurants; they're usually part of a corporation focused solely on profit and often cut corners to save money. I prefer to avoid that. La Palmita is a true mom-and-pop establishment, so there are no apps to download, e-coupons, or social media pages to like. They've maintained their location for so long due to their strong reputation for excellent food. Plus, they’re right next to my favorite store, HIDA TOOLS! Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This family-owned restaurant is friendly and affordable, making it one of our favorite local Mexican spots. The food is fantastic, and they have a relaxing patio in the back. It’s much better than the Chipotle across the street!

This restaurant is a gem! The veggie tostadas are the best I've had in the Bay Area. For dinner, the chili rellenos and enchiladas verde are absolutely delicious. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Good food, pleasant service and small business owned. A more authentic, local, and cheaper alternative to the Chipotle right across the street. I mean who in their right mind is gonna pay 2.50 for guac?
