Chatime - Barrie

The QQ Strawberry at this restaurant is made exactly as requested and I really appreciate the effort put into it. It tastes delicious!

I had an amazing experience with the Brown Sugar Pearl Crema Milk Tea [COLD] at this restaurant. I absolutely loved the milk tea and the added salt cream cold foam. While I was eager to try something different and had high hopes for their desserts, unfortunately, the Taro Mousse Cake was a letdown. Priced at nearly $8, the tiny slice of dry cake seemed like it had been sitting in the display case for days. There was no mousse inside the cake or on top, and the advertised picture was misleading. I wish I could share a photo here, but sadly it's not possible. I was quite disappointed by the cake, especially since I have had better taro mousse cake from a grocery store in the past.

I absolutely adore this place. Each time I visit, I make it a point to try something new by asking the staff to surprise me or create something they think I would enjoy. Without fail, they always deliver. I have thoroughly enjoyed every beverage they have crafted for me, whether it be a robust tea or a fruity concoction - each one has been delicious and invigorating. The toppings are consistently fresh, and I have even witnessed them preparing fresh boba on occasion. If I had the means, I would happily frequent this establishment daily. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience, regardless of how busy they may be.

I had a terrible experience at Chatime. I drove 35 minutes away from my home to try a new drink, but when I arrived, they told me they didn't have the drink I ordered. I was frustrated because they had confirmed my order without notifying me beforehand. When I confronted them about it, they said they were supposed to call me, but I was at work. I told them they should have called me, especially since I had driven so far. The response I received from the staff was unapologetic and dismissive. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I will not be returning. I will also be sharing this experience with my friends and family.

I had high expectations for this café, but the drink I ordered disappointed me. I ordered a matcha latte with brown sugar tapioca. The drink tasted more like milk than matcha, and the tapioca pearls were not as chewy as I had hoped. Additionally, the straw cups were flimsy and difficult to drink from. However, the customer service was friendly and the café was well designed.
