Contribuiți la feedbackProbably not safe for the zöliakie amount, but for those who are less sensitive, the gluten reduced items are beautiful. not great through bakery standards, but good at a place like banff, where variety is difficult to come! my understanding of gluten-reduced labeling is this – they do not use gluten-containing ingredients in these products, but they are made in a common kitchen, so cross-contamination is possible, and therefore they do not call these products gluten-free.
They are not quick to tell you what it truely means when they state "gluten reduced". Is there still some wheat flour added in? I asked. I could not get a straight answer and certainly didnt feel the best after the carrot cake. I would not say it is celiac friendly, other than maybe the drinks.
Probably cross contamination because it’s a regular bakery but DELICIOUS muffins and cookies and they also had gf soups and salads
We only ordered drinks, but we received the friendliest service we've experienced in Canada. The barista not only cleaned the milk container in front of me before preparing the soy milk, but she also took the time to open a new package for the cup and lid. It was a thoughtful effort to avoid cross-contamination, and I really appreciated it! Highly recommend!
Gluten-reduced? What does that even mean? I wouldn't want to take the chance.
