Phelan's Pies - Ayr

I would like to see a firmer base and flakier top but the flavour was outstanding for the pie and for the sausage roll it was amazing

Never in my life have I had a pie that's made me have a breakdown for a full 5 workdays. Incredible. if there was a 6 star option, it wouldn't be there, it deserves 10.

On a business trip through North Queensland a colleague and I passed through Ayr heading South and took advantage of the drive through. Great pies and I loved the pasties with mushy peas. Fantastic!! Convenient but a lot tastier then other drive through food.

Whenever my children come back to Ayr ,phelans pies is a definite stop for them. When they were young we always got pies and pasties with green mushy peas for Saturday lunch and the memory is still stuck in their minds.

Growing up with Phelans pies being sold in every corner store and drive through bottle shop it was hard when I moved away every couple of years I travel through Ayr and Phelans is my first stop buying around a dozen pasties and pies so to take home and spoil myself over the next few weeks. If anyone is travelling through the Burdekin do yourself a favour and try Phelans top notch.
