Alfie is a nice bakery in Ayr. If you are lucky they do donut ice cream cones on particular days. Yes, they do vegetarian sausage rolls. Be warned there is no eftpos in store.

We went here today and honestly, I can't fault our experience in any way. The sausage rolls were spectacular. The pies were wrapped in the most deliciously perfect pastry. Service was warm, genuine and friendly. This was the best pie in Queensland (hands down)!

As much as I would love to support local business, i have never had anything good from here. The bread is always burnt and horrible tasting - you know that lovely smell of fresh bread... you wont get that here. The cakes are sub-par - some look ok, but you can easily get a better, cheaper, and nicer-tasting cake across the road at Woolworths. Sorry guys, but we've given you a few chances, but you've let us down every time - wont come back here again!
