I love this place. They have some of the nicest people, best food, and best service. Where else you gonna get a literal home cooked southern meal; 1 meat and 3 sides for $10?!! This is the best restaurant in Athens.

It is a meat and two type place that're becoming hard to find nowadays. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was very good and could not have been better. And it was an excellent value for the money. I've been coming here infrequently for a long time and I intend to start coming more frequently. I would like to address a previous review I saw where a black guy said he didn't feel welcome. I wasn't there so I can't address that instance but I can report what I saw during my visit: I came late in the afternoon so it wasn't crowded and I was one of 4 white customers eating in the dining room along with 5 black customers. Additionally, 2 more black customers came through picking up to-go orders. The employees, both black and white, were no more friendly or unfriendly to them as anybody else. It's unfair to paint a business with a brush like that based on one flawed perception.

The best cookies ever. I had sausage biscuit and wife had Tylloin. As good as I did not eat here in 20 years, is a must if in Athens area

I needed a good breakfast and boy found it. The cookie was salty and soft, just as it should be. The sausage was tender and so tasteful. The unsweetened tea tasted so refreshing. I appreciate the man in the white shirt who asked for help today to order my food. It was my first time and I didn't know they had any sausage mass, but Gravy and a side of sausage. He was very nice to me.
