Newk's Eatery - Athens

My wife and I stopped in for a quick lunch. The staff was very attentive. I had the 1/2 Newk's Club sandwich and bowl of chili. The sandwich was tasty as was the chili. The chili had the right amount of meat and was not too spicy. Served with shredded cheese. I really like their drink cups. They are sturdy plastic and will not get soggy. They can be reused.

Newk?s is a great place to grab a sit down or to go lunch. I?ve always loved their soup and salad combos as well as the large black plastic cup you get to go with drink order.

Great staff and clean restaurant. Nice bar top to sit at and watch the cooks work. Walked in ordered to go food. The order was right and it was fresh when we got home. Sandwiches were good but my wife loved the crab lobster bisque soup. Nothing fancy but a good lunch spot for the family to go/dine in.

FANTASTIC! Shown is the Full Size Newk-Q sandwich with Mac and cheese and small side salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Bread is soft with a slight crunch and perfect chew, not tough or soggy at all, the chicken is just that... REAL CHICKEN, cooked perfectly and not overly seasoned. Salad is bright and fresh and with perfect amount of dressing. My first visit, WON'T BE MY LAST! OUTSTANDING JOB!

This is a great choice! 1st time for me. Had the Newk's Club and a bowl of their Soup OTD...chicken and sausage gumbo...wow! Excellent! Fun, open atmosphere. Nice touch of having an outer sink counter just to wash hands. All enjoyed their choices! Did notice the floor was clean, but a bit slick around the kitchen and drink areas,
