Pepperjax Grill - Ames

I just ate PepperJax for the first time and HOLY COW... It was amazing! I cant comment on the inside of the restaurant as I ordered for curbside pickup so they ran it out to me. But Philly cheesesteaks are one of my all time favorites and PepperJaxs was very close to if not thee best I 've ever had! I highly recommend the 'fireball ' it adds just a little bite to the sandwich, but NOT spicy at all, just a little more flavor to the sandwich! Also the 'hearty steak sauce ' was delicious... Idk what they did to it but it was like a thicker pickapeppa sauce mixed with BBQ sauce maybe?!? Not sure but the best steak sauce I 've ever had! The regular fries were also really good! Nice and plumpy but crispy on the outside! Everything was delicious and can 't believe I 've been missing out on this place! Food was a little pricey but even so I still highly recommend if you 've never tried PepperJax before, you will not be disappointed, I can 't wait to try the steak burrito next time! Great job PepperJax, I will be back!

Yummy! the first time. if they are on weight watchers like me, I have a chicken power bowl for zero points!

The grating was dirty. we sat outside and watched after we left and the hired never used the stripper so they could not say they were busy. the fat was baked over 3/4 on the grid and burned. the cook used their gloves to give the sweet, the flesh and the spices into the net. not only did she use the same gloves to scratch the meat out of the pans in the respective shells, but also used it to add the salad, the shredded cheese and the olives. these people have not been properly trained and management should be ashamed. pepperjax was a place I would go to lunch several times in the week. Now you have to pay me for it.

Listen, I've had some good Philly cheesesteaks, this is up there with the best of them. Make sure you ask for the fireball juice and top it with either pepper jack cheese or cheddar and you got yourself a dang fine sandwich.

The food tastes good but I it's overpriced and it's so noisy in there it is really hard to hear the staff and they have a hard time hearing you. Not interested in a repeat visit.
